Rob is in his early thirties and, as he freely admits, he spends half his life surrounded by women.
"I'm not complaining," he tells us, "but there it is. My wife and I have three daughters, nine, six, and four years old. And my dog Maggie - she's definitely a lady."
When asked about his working career, Rob says, "I've always worked. At ten, I had a paper route. During high school and college, I worked part time. My job is very demanding, so I suppose you could say it was all good practice."
What about the challenge of raising three kids? "It's not easy," he quickly replies. "My wife and I put most of our energy into it; it's a joint venture. We discuss everything, and we always consider the kids first. Everything we do, work or play, is geared toward the girls. We decided a few years ago that it was worth the financial sacrifice to have one of us at home for the kids. So for now, I am the primary breadwinner, and my wife works a couple of evenings a week. It's a little tight, but we manage."
What about the future? "Well, for now we have Term Life policies to protect the kids if anything happens to us," says Rob. "That's an absolute necessity. We have a little savings, but it's tough to save right now. As far as retirement, I really can't say my wife and I have given it much thought. It's something we'll have to address, obviously."
"Right now, we pretty much just think about the kids and their future. That's what's most important to us."
