Vikki Pryor is president and chief executive officer of SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company, Inc. Since joining in 1999, she's initiated the turnaround of the 68-year old New York company. Pryor and her team administered the expansion of SBLI USA, and currently oversee $15.9 billion of insurance in force, more than $1.5 billion in assets, and nearly 300,000 customers across the country.
Pryor is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Life Underwriter, and a Chartered Financial Consultant. Her previous experience includes profit and loss management; multi-system operations; corporate auditing; product management; marketing and business development; strategic planning; process redesign; and performance management.
In addition to serving on the board of directors of SBLI USA, Pryor serves on the board of directors of Partnership for New York City, and American Council of Life Insurers' Forum 500. She is on the Citi Advisory Board for Citigroup's Security and Fund Services, the Small Business and Agriculture Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and is also a member of the Dean's Advisory Council of the University at Buffalo Law School, her alma mater.
Pryor holds bachelor and Juris Doctorate degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In May 2004, she received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree from Sacred Heart University and a Presidential Medallion from Bronx Community College in 2008.
