|  |  |  | Albert J. Regen is on several corporate and civic boards of directors and served as president and chief operating officer of Northfield Savings Bank until 2006. The programs he developed while at Northfield enabled the bank to achieve growth in assets from $350 million to $1.5 billion, and in equity from $24.5 to $134.5 million.
Regen served as the chief financial officer and a member of the Board of Directors at Whitestone Federal Savings Bank, where he was responsible for all financial activities, statements, and forecasts, as well as asset-liability management. Before this, he served as vice-president at Prudential-Bache Securities, Inc., and director of fiscal management at the New York State Insurance Fund. Regen has also held senior level positions with the Franklin Society Federal Savings and Loan, Bache & Company Incorporated, the Lummus Company, James Talcott, Inc., and Peat, Marwick, Mitchel & Co.
His current affiliations include the Staten Island YMCA, St. Vincent's Hospital and the United Way of New York City -- Staten Island Committee. A certified public accountant, Regen received his bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting in 1959.
